Board Update - Report to the AOG Membership
The last twelve months have been a busy period for the AOG Board as we have worked diligently to assimilate governance changes for the AOG, to address economic challenges brought about in part by the fallout from the last Board Election, and to seek a rational long range perspective that will lead to strategic plans to guide the AOG in the years ahead.
The AOG Board of Directors has decided this fall your Association of Graduates will offer a more useful, secure and cost-effective means of disseminating the annual USAFA Register of Graduates.
The question of how to measure the quality of college teaching continues to vex campus administrators. Teaching evaluations, on which many institutions depend for at least part of their analysis, may be overly influenced by factors such as whether students like the professors or get good grades.
Former T-Bird pilot, '96, named White House Fellow
A Thunderbird pilot is heading to Washington, D.C., to spend one year as a White House Fellow. Maj. Nicole Malachowski, '96, is among 14 people selected for the 2008-09 internships.

AF Athletics starts Season Tickets for Troops initiative
The Air Force Academy athletic department is featuring a special program called Season Tickets for Troops for fans and graduates to help enlisted members of the local military community attend Falcon Football games. Fans can support the program by purchasing season football season tickets and helping underwrite the cost of a season ticket for enlisted members and their families.
Nwaelele, '07, playing in NBA Summer League
The former academy star is playing guard for the San Antonio Spurs summer league team in hopes of mustering a free agent contract and competing for a roster spot.
Air Force to join ECAC Lacrosse League
The Air Force lacrosse team is one of five teams set to join the ECAC Lacrosse League beginning in the 2009-10 season, as announced by ECAC Commissioner Rudy Keeling on Wednesday.
Air Force releases 2008 men's soccer schedule
Three teams that advanced to the 2007 NCAA Tournament, including Sweet 16 team and 2006 national champion UC Santa Barbara, highlight the Air Force Academy's 2008 men's soccer schedule.

Individual home football game tickets on sale now
Individual home football games for the 2008 season are on sale now. The 2008 football season is sure to be an exciting one with the Falcons looking to build off last year's 9-4 record, including 6-0 at Falcon Stadium.
