Two weeks later.

Here is the T shirt contest winner modeling the Grand Prize. Congratulations Della Baird from Wilmington, NC. Thanks to all of you who participated and helped add a little something extra to the hum of the wheels on the highway.

We've been back for two weeks now and Fall is in the air. The nights are cooling off, 53 F this morning and the hurricanes are staying out of the United States, for the moment. Bermuda is starting to get rocked right now, Hunker Down folks, Igor is getting close.

The NFL is in it's second week and already the haves and have knot's are beginning to separate themselves. Within the family we have a key match-up today between Philly and Detroit. Will Detroit continue on it's road of mediocrity or will Philly start a downward spiral in the Post McNabb era. The four games I feel could be the most contested this weekend are:

BAL @ CIN
Paul Brown Stadium 1:00 PM

PIT @ TEN
LP Field 1:00 PM

NE @ NYJ
New Meadowlands Stadium 4:15 PM

NYG @ IND
Lucas Oil Stadium 8:20 PM

For those College Football fans, USAFA played a great game against #7 ranked Oklahoma, loosing 27-24. Delaware beat Duquesne 30-6. Uconn was embarrassed by Temple 30-16.

September 24'th & 25'th is the Eighth Conference on "Women In The Military". One of the representatives from USAFA is Samantha and the Fiddler-Berthiaume family is quite excited to get to see Sam in DC.

Abby gets to perform for the first time at half time this coming Friday for the Bennett Clippers Football team.

Right now Granny is in the kitchen making homemade Beef Veggie soup, I told you fall was in the air. And does it have a savory aroma.

I've really got very little more to say of any worth so I shall not ramble. Have a great week everyone, enjoy life and don't forget:

Semper Fi, Go Navy beat Army
